As children are back at school now The Laptops For Schools has ended

We extend our thanks to all who donated systems that were reconfigured to be used by children at the schools, your generosity allowed many children to continue their education from home and is much appreciated.

However if you do still wish to donate a laptop to a school we will still reconfigure them for free, either drop them at the school or directly to us.

Tell the school to contact us and we will collect the laptop, set it up as new with the latest Windows it can have and return it to the school free of charge.

Do you have unwanted laptops you could donate to help the children of ST Peters & South Wolds?

  • Any systems will be securly and professionally data wiped by us, no data that was previously on a system will be recovered once it is wiped by us ensuring your deleted data will not fall in to anyone elses hands.
  • If you need any data removing from a laptop and putting on to another system you have before we wipe it we can do that for free.
  • Laptops should be Windows 7, 8 or 10, that is systems made within the last 10 years (2010).
  • If a system is totally dead we can sometimes get it going again, if there is any data on a system you wish to donate that will not work we can recover the data for you for free.
  • We will provide all software needed for children to learn from home, for example programs to use Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Antivirus, Adobe Reader etc.
  • It does not matter if there is no charger/mains lead, if we do not have one in stock we will supply it.
  • Do not worry if it is slow, the system will be made faster and brought up to date by us.
  • We will supply any child who lives in Ruddington and studying from home during the lockdown being taught remotely ‘free support’ and ‘free labour’ should their Windows Desktop or Laptop have any problems, these do not have to be systems donated through the Laptops For Schools appeal and can be your home desktop or laptop.
We will get the ball rolling with 2 reconditioned Windows 10 laptops from our stock

Thank you for any help
